History
In 2000, a small album was found hidden behind a wall of an old
Seattle area home that was scheduled for demolition. The home
was the former residence of a recently-deceased Chicago area police
officer.
Inside the album were about 50 original photographs, dating from
about 1940 to the early 1960s, depicting murder, death, suicide,
and mutilation.
In early 2006, about 60% of these photos were scanned for a
"Crime Album" project. Although there were plans
to scan the remaining 40%, add enlargements of every photograph,
and improve functionality and design, the project was never fully completed and
the album was stored away.
With that in mind, the following pages are offered, as-is, for
your viewing pleasure and edification! But be warned - although the images are
not large, many of them are gruesome.
Please note: You will need a screen resolution of at least 1024x768
pixels in order to properly view the website. No, I will not fix
this. Enjoy.
